1st General Meeting of Fall 2009!

28 09 2009

Attention everybody! The first General Meeting of the Fall 2009 quarter is going to be on Wednesday, October 7th from 6:00PM – 7:00PM in SSL (Social Science Lab) 129! Come join us as we kick off the year by informing you guys what our events and lineup for this upcoming school year are! Don’t know what PBL is all about? Don’t worry! Take this chance to come learn about the awesomeness of FBLA-PBL at the college level! Worried about getting lost? Don’t know where to park? Here, let me tell you!

First off click here for the link to the map of campus. The closest parking structure to SSL is the Social Science Parking Structure (SSPS) which is on Campus & Stanford. SSL is building number 202. You can either walk straight through the Social Science Plaza (SSPA/SSPB) area or walk around to the flagpole. From the flagpole, go up the stairs, turn left at Ring Road (DO NOT go up the stairs to the library) and walk straight (past Social Science Lecture Hall [SSLH] on the left, Social Science Plaza A & B [SSPA/SSPB] on the left, and past Social Science Tower [SST] on the right). You should see a set of stairs going down between Social Science Lab (SSL) which is on the left and Social Science Tower (SST) which is on the right.

Now if you are already confused by this point, don’t worry! Your first option is to call/text me at (714) 757-7207 (please PLEASE tell me who you are if you text me o_0). Your second option is to wait a few days before I upload a video map for you guys to see! If you’re going “huh? What’s a video map?” look here! I have made a video map before of part of the Student Center for California PBL’s Summer Training Conference (STC). It was my very first one so it’s kind of long and draggy but don’t worry! I promise you the video map for SSL 129 will be a billion times better! Below is the video map from August 2009!

We look forward to meeting everybody next Wednesday! (And I promise the video map will be posted by Friday!)

UCI Welcome Week 2009

21 09 2009

It’s that time of year again! The new school year is about to begin and what is there to greet us all? It’s Welcome Week! Usually referred to as Week 0, Welcome Week starts on Monday September 21st and ends on Friday September 25th. It is a great opportunity for all UCI students to get to know UCI just a little bit better – especially the clubs and organizations available on campus!

Many clubs & organizations are going to be tabling this whole week – on Monday 9/21 at the Anteater Involvement Fair in Aldrich Park and throughout the rest of the week (9/22 – 9/25) on Ring Road! PBL will be tabling at the Anteater Involvement Fair near the location of the bbq for new student/freshmen from 11AM – 3PM. We will also be tabling only on Thursday and Friday on Aldrich Ring from 8AM – 4PM! Drop by our table for more information on how to become involve in PBL or to just simply say hi! We are just normal college students – we don’t bite!

We hope to see you all during Welcome Week! Have fun & good luck with the beginning of a new school year! ♥
